The Arizona Delegate Assembly (April 23-24th) was held at the Mesa Convention Center again this year. All the individual locals from across the state met to discuss issues facing education as one entire body as members of the Arizona Education Association (AEA). We had over 23 delegates attending this year’s conference. The delegates got to listen to Dennis Van Roekel, President of the National Education Association, give a heartfelt inspiring speech on Friday. We also got to listen to Terry Goddard who is running for Governor of Arizona. There were many business items and resolutions to discuss on the floor. The delegates even got to take part in vote for the Vice Presidential for AEA where our own School Board Member Chris Maza ran for VP. It was a great Friday and Saturday. Thanks to all who attended.
